Along with the picture, the actress also revealed her plans for the New Year. "2021 I’m ready to take you on with the love of my life. This year is going to be filled with love, family, friends, work, travel, spiritual growth and much much more. I’m only looking forward to having the best f***ing time of our life. It has been several months since the lockdown was announced and the actor still continues to help the common man with whatever problems they have. From medical expenses to employment to funding education, the actor has done it all in the past few months. Amidst this, several times questions of the actor joining politics has been raised. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Sonu Sood spoke about his political ambition.

It’s not new for actors to join active politics. In the past, several A-list actors have entered politics and have been successful as well. So, when we asked Sonu Sood if he would like to be a part of politics, the actor said, “As an actor, I still have a long way to go. The dreams with which I came, those are yet incomplete. I feel it's necessary to fulfil that first. There is no particular time to enter into politics, there is no fixed period for it. Can join after 5 years or 10 years. I got offers 10 years back, I still get offers. But, I am not interested.”

“I think I should do things which I am an expert at and can do justice. If I am given a responsible position and I am unable to go to villages and towns to help people then what is the point. So, when I can become a part of them and live with them and serve them, then I will think about it. For now, as an actor there is a lot that needs to be done, a lot has to be achieved, there is time for the rest,” he added.

Aditya Narayan recently tied the knot to his long-time girlfriend Shweta Agarwal and the wedding ceremony looked no less than that from a fairytale. The singer-host and his family had ensured to abide by the regulations of COVID-19 laid down by the government. While the ceremony was quite fancy, Aditya Narayan recalled an embarrassing memory from the day.

During the varmala ceremony, when Aditya’s friends picking him up, his pajamas tore and the singer was way too embarrassed. He had even tried on his makeup artist’s pajamas but they didn’t fit. Aanand L Rai, who has recently wrapped up the shooting for his upcoming film, Atrangi Re, along with Sara Ali Khan, Dhanush, and Akshay Kumar. But the sad thing is that some people from our Bollywood itself were talking against the industry. This is that industry for which people leave their families and come to struggle. This place fulfils those dreams of yours which you have always dreamt of. Very few people get this chance. If we talk about Bollywood, then it is an inspiration for people, they say actors inspire, if they give a message to people, they follow it. So you can imagine how much every actor must have been affected when people pointed fingers at them.”

However, Sonu Sood feels that these testing times have also been a lesson for every member of the industry. “This industry admits that we are all together and are like a family, but the chains that can bind us are missing. Those chains are separated individually. How many stand together, how many appreciate each other, no one does it. Everyone says they are a part of Bollywood, but in that part they create barriers around them in which they feel secure. So, if an outsider wishes to come in, those walls are too high for them. This entire episode has been a lesson for all.”

“Success is saluted but no one extends their helping hand toward the unsuccessful. It's only when a successful individual helps a lesser successful person to rise up do they win. This is a lesson that is missing from people's books and I wish it returns to them. And I hope that they extend the limits of the imaginary barriers built around them and take in more people,” he added.

#2020Recap: Most EMBARASSING scenes and dialogues in Bollywood films this year

Every year, we come across films that make us cringe from start to finish or have particular sequences or dialogues that make us want to bury our heads in shame. Bollywood Hungama, in this special feature, collates a list of 20 such scenes and one-liners in Hindi films in 2020 that we felt were highly embarrassing.

1. Jai Mummy Di

The film is about two warring mothers and sounded great on paper. But this so-called funny film hardly has any humour. Towards the end, the makers go on a flashback mode to unveil why the two of them started fighting in the first place. We hoped the film would finally go on a high here but sadly, it turned out to be the worst part of the movie. Even the cameos of Nushrratt Bharuccha, Ishita Raj and Varun Sharma didn’t help.

 

2. Street Dancer 3D

This film had some poignant moments as it touched upon the burning issue of illegal immigration. One plot, however, made no sense. Varun Dhawan’s character Sahej helps immigrants travel from Punjab to UK. In the second half, these immigrants, one of them being Amrinder (Aparshakti Khurana), blame Sahej for their bad experience in London. It was Amrinder and his pals who were behind Sahej in Punjab and they literally forced him to take them to London. So Sahej should not have felt responsible and guilty for their miserable condition. Yet, Sahej is made to feel horrible about their plight. This took away some impact from an otherwise fine film.

 

3. Happy Hardy And Heer

Himesh Reshammiya’s bad acting single-handedly pulled the film down. In one scene, where his character in an emotional scene says ‘Main bahut bura actor hoon’, audiences shed tears, but out of laughter, and not out of sadness.

 

4. Love Aaj Kal

Sara Ali Khan’s character in this love story was weird. On top of that, to see her create a scene in the interval scene was unbearable. Audiences across the country were seen laughing at her antics though the scene was an emotional and an intense one.

 

5. Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship

The premise of this film was interesting – an abandoned, haunted ship arriving at Mumbai’s shores. Sadly, in the first 15 minutes, we saw a random couple entering the massive ship without anyone noticing it. The ship was ten storeys tall and this information was given by the makers themselves just few minutes before this scene, by the way. Yet, somehow, the lovers managed to climb atop the deck, situated at such a height. This scene actually gave a clear indication that logic and common sense are not going to be the strong points of this film.

 

6. Baaghi 3

We were told by the makers that Ronnie (Tiger Shroff) in this film would single-handedly fight against a whole country. We were so excited for it. Shockingly, the ‘country’ shown in the film was not even as large as the area from Andheri railway station to Versova. Ronnie had already battled against this size of land in part 2 and hence, the novelty value went for a toss. Not to mention that the viewers felt cheated with the ‘country’ bit.

 

7. Ghoomketu

This one was a complete disappointment. Several scenes start off well and one expected fireworks. Alas, all of them ended in the most disappointing and random way. In one scene, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was asked to play the role of an alien as an extra. We were finally looking forward to some LOL moments. Alas, it made us pull our hair in frustration.

 

8. Virgin Bhanupriya

This one was plain torture where the writing was all over the place. The digs on right-wing ideology were added for the heck of it. Rajiv Gupta as Bhanu’s father was irritating and it was sad to see such a fine actor in such a caricature role. In one scene, when his ex-wife (Archana Puran Singh) compared him to Prince Salim, he took offense and ends his rant with ‘Jai Shri Ram’. It didn’t make us laugh for sure.

 

9. Raat Akeli Hai

We saw it with a lot of excitement as the reviews were encouraging. However, it turned out to be a slow, boring affair and also a flawed one. Jatil Yadav (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), the cop, ideally should have investigated one and all after the murder. Rather, he focused on just two family members. It’s only much later that he realized that there are others in the family whom he should grill! Our favourite scene, however, was when Jatil got hold of a crucial nursing home report. Any other office in his place would have immediately opened to check the contents. However, our man put it in his pocket and forgot about it. It’s only a few days later when he was getting bored waiting for his train at the station that it struck him that he should go through the report!

 

10. Class Of ‘83

Many things go wrong in this film. The biggest issue was the excessive use of stock footages to depict the 80s era. This film is produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, which has its own VFX division. It has achieved breakthrough in this field and yet, it wasn’t put it into use for their own film. The use of 30 or 40-year old bad quality video clips after every 10-15 minutes for mundane reasons was an eyesore and we just wished the producers had invested a little more money here.

 

11. Sadak 2

We still can’t understand how it got approved in the first place. There was no head or tail to the plot and the film had countless bizarre scenes. It’s difficult to pick one but we’ll go with the one in the pre-climax when Ravi (Sanjay Dutt) fed a sedated cake to Aryaa (Alia Bhatt) and Vishal (Aditya Roy Kapur) for no rhyme or reason.

 

12. Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare

The otherwise realistic film was flawed and in the end gave a déjà vu of a Priyadarshan fare. To see all the main characters of the film, some of them from different cities or parts of the town, assembling at the same place were laughable. Also the manner in which gun shots are fired without provocation by fringe elements made absolutely no sense.

 

13. Laxmii

Logic took a backseat in this film from the very beginning. Asif (Akshay Kumar) entered the haunted ground and realized that the stumps have got stained with what looked like blood. Yet, Asif and everyone else remain nonchalant as if it’s a very common phenomenon. We know audiences are not supposed to dig so much in such films. Yet, this was too much and the writers should have thought of a better plan to make it look convincing.

 

14. Durgamati

This film started off well and promised a nice and unique combo of horror and politics. But in the second half, it went downhill. The tantrik scene was straight out of a B-grade flick.

 

15. Indoo Ki Jawani

We didn’t mind this one but the tu-tu main-main over India and Pakistan between the lead characters bored us after a point

 

16. Coolie No 1

A lot of viewers gave the film thumbs down but a section of viewers did enjoy this comic caper. But when it comes to the cringe worthy pre-interval scene, everyone is on the same page. We really wonder how the scene of Raju Coolie rescuing the deaf kid on the track was okayed. The horrible VFX in this scene added to the bizarreness. No wonder, this sequence has gone viral, for the wrong reasons of course.

 

17. Shakeela

We have seen criminals being subjected to narco-anlaysis test. Shakeela however went into a bizarre zone in this regard. Here, the protagonist was subjected to it by the writer of her biopic so that she only tells the truth while narrating her life story! On second thoughts, this is not a bad idea after all. We’d get quite truthful and honest biopics if the subjects are told to undergo this procedure.

2. Ali Fazal-Richa Chadha: Will they marry in April, May…during Covid, post-Covid…the discussions ran on unabated until Sushant Singh Rajput did the unthinkable. Entertainment journalism had other things to think about. Mr Fazal and Ms Chadha have been caught in various parts of the world .Individually they had nothing much to their credit. Ali had Mirzapur 2 and Richa’s Shakeela proved a damp squib. They even walked the right carpet with Judi Dench. ‘Dame’! Some people have all the luck in the world. Will this couple attract the same attention after the wedding whenever it happens?

3. Zaid Durbar-Gauahar Khan: Apart from her win on Bigg Boss, the beautiful Gauahar Khan made no mark as an actor. Nor did her earlier affairs attract the same attention. With Zaid Durbar, son of Ismail, she seems to have clicked on the social media like never before. I am not even sure of what Zaid does. Or what his claim to fame is. He just makes the cut as a power couple with his Begum. Koi shaq?

4. Rohanpreet Singh-Neha Kakkar: Did anyone know Roahanpreet Singh until he fastened his fate to singer Neha Kakkar? Suddenly as a couple they were trending as though their romance was never-ending. While their flash-wedding sounded a bit off-kilter, Neha’s flash-pregnancy seemed even more unreal. The latter turned out to be just a gimmick to promote their new song. With insta-celebs one never knows.

5. Aditya Narayan-Shweta Agarwal: Their wedding was the wedding of the year. Aditya’s father Udit laughingly said his son’s marriage attracted far more attention than Udit’s marriage. So does that mean Aditya is more popular than his father? Fame on the social media is very complex and fickle ally. Here today, viral tomorrow, trolled the day after. Enjoy it while it lasts.

TXT's Yeonjun to make Korean drama debut with guest appearance in the finale of Live On

K-pop group Tomorrow X Together's (TXT) member Choi Yeonjun is making his Korean drama debut with a guest appearance in the finale JTBC series, Live On. On December 29, the preview of the eighth episode was unveiled in which Yeonjun made a cameo.

In the preview, Go Eun Taek (Hwang Min Hyun) and Baek Ho Rang (Jung Da Bin) seem to be bonding well. The scene cuts to a library scene where she meets her ex-boyfriend played by Yeonjun. He asks her, “Hasn’t it been so long, So Hyun?” further asking, “Do you remember when we dated?”

According to Viki, the series follows the story of Baek Ho Rang (Jung Da Bin) is the most popular girl in high school. Everybody wants to be her friend and all of the boys' dream of winning her heart. Although she is famously aloof, she is also a star on social media – with the whole school seemingly following her every post. But when a mysterious individual arrives online, she is caught off-guard. This person seems to know all of Baek Ho Rang’s deepest secrets, and is seemingly armed with all sorts of information about her that she’d rather was kept a secret forever! Desperate for answers, she seeks out the help of Go Eun Taek (Hwang Min Hyun), the meticulous, right-minded head of the school’s broadcasting club. However, in order to gain his assistance, she discovers that she will have to become a regular club member – a fact that eventually brings her together with a group of students she never thought she’d consider friends. Can she solve the mystery of the online poster? And could joining the club eventually lead to romance?

Tomorrow X Together aka TXT released their mini-album titled 'minisode1: Blue Hour' on October 26 along with the title track 'Blue Hour'. The B-side track 'We Lost The Summer' music video was unveiled in November.

The quintet closed their album series 'The Dream Chapter' with their last album, 'Eternity'. The album dropped back in May with the title track 'Can't You See Me'. This was followed by a B-side music video, 'PUMA', and the last music video, 'Eternally'. Along with their Japanese release, they dropped their single 'Drama' on August 19.

The Covid-19 pandemic spared none, not even the Bachchans. When it stuck the First Family of Bollywood we finally knew it was serious, more serious than we had ever imagined. Presenting the most high-profile Bollywood victims of the Covid virus.

1. The Bachchan Parivar: On the day before Abhishek Bachchan was diagnosed Positive he and I were on the phone for more than an hour chatting about this and that. It was the way we always speak, more off the record than on. The next day I was shocked out of my wits when Abhishek’s mother Jaya confirmed that Abhishek was Covid Positive. Then it was his father, then his wife and even his little daughter was not spared. Only Jaya escaped the wrath of the Virus. “How do we explain that?” she asked after the monstrous crisis blew over. Imagine your entire family in the hospital, as you sit alone in the vast silent house waiting to hear the health bulletins of one family member after another. You can’t visit them. I cannot imagine what Jaya went through. She says, “When something like this hits you, you just have to cope with it. There are no guidelines on how to manage a crisis of these proportions.” She is my choice for a true Covid warrior.

2. Kanika Kapoor: She was the first Bollywoodian to be felled by the Virus, and the most controversial, as she apparently broke many Covid guidelines. Apparently she slipped into her hometown Lucknow after her return from London without getting tested for the Virus. I don’t know the singer personally. But her friends tell me Ms Kapoor handled the Corona crisis like a pro. Edkum mask, I mean, mast.

3. Varun Dhawan: Poor Varun! The letter ‘C’ doesn’t seem to suit him. Corona and Coolie No.1 came one after another. Can’t say which was more damaging. Varun acquired the Corona while shooting in Chandigarh for a comedy called Jug Jug Jeeyo, which translated as, may you live long. I wish the same for Varun. May he bounce back in 2021. A remake of Hero No 1, perhaps? Did I just hear someone say, aisa mat corona! Along with Varun, other members of the same crew Neetu Kapoor, Manish Paul and director Raj Mehta were also infected. Miraculously Anil Kapoor who was shooting with them escaped the virus.

4. Rakul Preet Singh: Poor girl! First her name popped up in the drug racket. Then Corona decided to pay Rakul an unexpected visit. Not what I’d call an ideal year. Ms Singh can take solace in the fact that she recovered fast. TV actress Divya Bhatnagar never came out of it.

5. S S Rajamouli: Even the man behind Baahubali was not spared. Yup, Rajamouli got the Virus. What did he do? He quarantined himself and wrote the entire script of his next film instead of wasting time posting health bulletins on the social media. That’s what you do when life serves up lemons you make lemonade. Now it’s Rajamouli’s leading man Ramcharan Teja’s turn to make lemonade. Get well soon, Ram.

Danny Boyle praises AK vs AK during a conversation with Anil Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane

Oscar-winning filmmaker Danny Boyle is showering praises on Netflix's AK vs AK which stars Anurag Kashyap and Anil Kapoor and is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. Danny hosted a special QnA session for the British Film Institute (BFI) recently where he talked about the film.

Danny said. “I just wanted to convey to you what a wonderful film you’ve made. I was astonished by it... For me, it joins the pantheons of great films about filmmaking, of which there are a number. My favourite are Day For Night (La Nuit américaine) and probably Coppola’s wife’s film, Heart of Darkness. Now, the only film to deserve a Nobel Prize). But this is an incredibly modern film about filmmaking and there aren’t that many of them."

“Please don’t insult me by simplifying my stunts” - Sanjay Dutt

The cast and crew of superstar Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 are simply bowled over by Sanjay Dutt’s dedication passion and determination. Dutt who plays the film’s chief protagonist was diagnosed with a terminal illness. He not only fought the illness, after his treatment he immediately rushed to Bengaluru to join the crew of KGF 2 which was waiting to shoot the intricate climax action sequence featuring Dutt and Yash.

An eyewitness from the location states, “Our main concern was Mr. Dutt’s health. We wanted him to work in a safe and comfortable atmosphere. Yash and director Prashanth Neel suggested that Mr. Dutt’s stunts should be simplified. But he wouldn’t hear of it. ‘Don’t insult me by suggesting that I’m not capable of doing the action scenes. I will do them exactly the way they were written, no compromise, no cheating’ He proceeded to do the stunts all by himself, even the more dangerous ones he refused a body double. And he did them perfectly.”

The location where the fight was shot was filled with dust. “Yash Sir suggested that Dutt Saab’s place be freed of dust and sanitized properly before every shot. But Dutt Saab refused. He said, ‘How will it look on the screen if my shots are cleaned out? The audience is too clever. They can make out the tampering,” says the source.

The unit of KGF2 is extremely impressed by Sanjay Dutt. Yash told this writer, “He is a fighter, a real-life hero.”

Exes Gauahar Khan and Kushal Tandon bump into each other on a flight post her wedding to Zaid Darbar

Bigg Boss 14’s toofani senior Gauahar Khan recently tied the knot to Zaid Darbar. The actress looked no less than a royal for her wedding and had left her fans swooning over her wedding trousseau. Soon after the wedding functions ended in Mumbai, Gauahar Khan left for Lucknow for a shoot and then bumped into her ex-boyfriend, Kushal Tandon.

The duo looked at the positive side and joked about bumping into each other. Taking to their social media accounts, both Gauahar and Kushal posted Instagram stories for each other. Kushal took to his story to post a video and said, “Guys, this is one of those instances. I am travelling to a destination and I met my old friend, she is just married and she is sitting next to me. By chance we met. I am not stalking her, ok? I am going to my hometown for a shoot. I am so happy for her, she is looking so pretty. Maybe I was destined to congratulate in person. I am so happy for you. Shaadi mubarak Gauahar Khan. Haaye kismat.”

He further called it, “Ek Haseen Ittefaq”.
