Eid 2020: Salman Khan wishes fans keeping in mind the current situation

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan usually comes up with a film on Eid for his fans. However, owing to the pandemic, theatres have been shut down and hence this year there will be no release. But the actor took to his social media to wish his fans in his own style.

Salman Khan took to his social media handle and shared a picture of himself. However, in the picture he also had a scarf around his mask which is one of the most important rules that has to be followed during the pandemic. It is mandatory for all to wear a face mask while stepping out of their house as a precaution. Sharing the picture, Salman Khan wrote, "Eid Mubarak."

Meanwhile, on the work front the superstar will next be seen in the film Radhe: The Most Wanted Bhai. The film directed by Prabhu Dheva was initially scheduled to release in May on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. However, due to the pandemic, theatres in the country were shut down in March when the number of coronavirus cases in the country started increasing.

Rhea Chakraborty responds to viral video in which she talks about ‘controlling her boyfriend’; says she was doing standup comedy

A video of Rhea Chakraborty talking about goons and controlling her boyfriend in a rather jovial manner had recently gone viral. The actress looked in an inebriated state in the video and received flak on social media for her antics in the clip.

Now, Rhea has responded to the viral video in which she is seen in a black dress. In the video she can be heard calling her boyfriend a goon and said that she controls the goons and makes them work at her will. While she received a lot of flak for the video because of the prevailing situation, the actress said that she was doing a standup comedy act.

As per reports on Zoom TV, Rhea said that she saw the black dress video and said that she was doing a standup comic act. She said she enjoys doing standup at times and Tai is one of her characters.

However, fans of Sushant Singh Rajput who have been demanding a CBI enquiry were left fuming after seeing the video. On the other hand, Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea for abetment of suicide. The family of the last actor has been demanding justice from the past few days.

'50 rupya kaat overacting ka' and other memes surface after Rhea Chakraborty's video statement

On Friday, actress Rhea Chakraborty issued a video statement where she said that she believes in 'God and the judiciary'. However, her teary-eyed video did not seem to go down well with several on Twitter. Soon after the video went viral, netizens termed her 'pretentious' and dismissed her  for 'overacting'. 

“I have immense faith in God and the judiciary. I believe that I will get justice even though a lot of horrible things are being said about me in the electronic media. I refrain from commenting on the advice of my lawyers as the matter is subjudice. Satyameva Jayate. The truth shall prevail,” she is heard saying in the video.

Makers of Film and Web series on Army theme to obtain NOC from Ministry of Defence before telecasting

The Ministry of Defence has written to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to advise production houses to obtain No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Ministry before they telecast any content based on the Army theme. This move comes after they received several complaints about the portrayal of Army Personnel and military uniforms in an insulting manner in some films and web series.

“It has been brought to the notice of this Ministry that some production houses making films on Army themes are using content which are distorting the image of the Indian Army,” the letter read. The Ministry said that the producers of such movies and web series will have to obtain the NOC from the ministry before telecasting it in the public domain. “They may also be advised to ensure that any incident which distorts the image of Defence Forces or hurt their sentiments may be prevented,” the letter further read.

Reportedly some concerned citizens and ex-servicemen associations have even lodged an FIR against a production house and OTT platform to seek legal action.
