Nisha Rawal accepts she has bipolar disorder amid domestic violence and extra-marital affair allegations against Karan Mehra

In one of the most shocking news, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Karan Mehra was arrested earlier this week over alleged domestic violence against his wife Nisha Rawal. The actress had filed a complaint after a brawl at home that led to a head injury. While Karan Mehra claimed that his wife banged her head on the wall in multiple statements to media, she states he has been abusive.

In multiple reports, Karan Mehra claimed that his wife was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. To which, Nisha has responded by stating that she indeed has been diagnosed but that was in 2014 when she had suffered a miscarriage. "Bipolar is a mood disorder which happens due to extreme trauma and it’s genetic sometimes. I was diagnosed with bipolarity and I am not going to lie about it as I am not ashamed about it. But I am not a psycho, it is a mood disorder. And you all know how balanced I am. I create content for the web, I make videos and write about things. I don’t have to prove anything," she said at the press conference on Tuesday.

In September 2014, I was 5 months pregnant and I lost my child. Recently, I made a Mom’s group where women who lost their child can speak up about it as when I lost my child I did not have anyone to talk to about the loss. I wanted to go to my parents and talk to them because it was a very big trauma for me. In the middle of it my husband was beating me up, abusing me, he was unavailable, totally detached and that’s when I went to a therapist. In fact, Karan had stopped me from going to a therapist, he didn’t let me go to a gym, he was very controlling in everything," she said.

Talking about the night of May 31 when she filed a complaint, Nisha said, “I lashed out on him about all the feelings that I had bottled up. We spoke and he was visibly upset. When I got up to leave the room, he held my hair and pushed me against the wall. He also held my neck while pinning me against the wall.”

Nisha Rawal and Karan Mehra have a son, Kavish.

Karan Mehra arrested following a brawl with his wife Nisha Mehra

Karan Mehra, who is popularly known for his character of Naitik from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, was arrested last night (May 31). The actor was arrested after his wife Nisha Rawal filed a complaint against him for allegedly assaulting her last night at Goregaon Police Station.

According to the reports, Nisha filed a complaint against her husband following a domestic dispute, where Karan allegedly pushed her against the wall in which she hurt her head. An FIR has been registered against the actor under section 336 and 337 of IPC. Karan Mehra is currently at the Goregaon Police Station and Mumbai Police is recording his statement.

Rumours were rife about their troubled marriage. However, both Karan and Nisha rubbished those reports. Now, that the police have confirmed that the couple has been hostile towards each other for some time and are going through divorce proceedings at a family court.

Karan and Nisha tied the knot in November 2012 after dating for a few years and also appeared together in Nach Baliye 5. The duo has a 4-year-old son named Kavish.

Parth Samthaan receives his second dose of Covid-19 vaccination; calls it 'Anmol'

Actor Parth Samthaan has taken his second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. The actor took to his Instagram and shared a picture of himself taking the vaccination.

Sharing the picture on his stories, Parth wrote "Mere do Anmol shots ho gaye poore."

A few weeks back, while taking the first shot of COVID-19 vaccination, Parth encouraged everyone to act responsibly and take the vaccine as soon as possible. He shared the video of him getting vaccinated and wrote, “It’s time to implement the awareness , it’s time to unite and get back our country the way it was by protecting ourselves and our loved ones #ɢᴇᴛᴠᴀᴄᴄɪɴᴀᴛᴇᴅ #stayhealthy #staysafe. This phase shall pass soon.”

Rohitashv Gour to excited to return with new episodes of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai with Shubhangi Atre and Aasif Sheikh

Binaiferr and Sanjay Kohli’s popular show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai is back in shooting mode. The show has shifted to a new location recently to shoot new episodes.

Manmohan Tiwari ( Rohitashv Gour) shares how excited he is to start shooting again. He says, "I am a workaholic and it is good to be back on set. For an actor, it is a relaxation when we go to a new location, a new set. The new location is full of greenery which propels one's thinking. Last year when the lockdown was announced, we never thought there would be a second wave and another lockdown. So for an actor, it is a second setback. No one wants to be sitting idle at home. An actor's job is to go to the set and work.”

He also adds, "I would also like to praise our producers Sanjay and Binaiferr Kohli for the way they have visioned this new normal. It is amazing. We had enough bank of episodes so we could wait and start our shooting later. Otherwise, we would have to start early like others at the peak of the pandemic. We all should get the vaccines first and then build hard immunity to face this disease. Making episodes for the future and creating a bank is really a commendable job done by our producers.”

Talking about his own comfort factor as an actor, he adds, "As an individual, I have no problem in the shooting. Last year post lockdown when we have resumed I was scared a bit. But this time I am aware of the problem and the consequences so I am doubly cautious and taking good care of myself. Which is the need of the hour. Producers have made excellent arrangements”

The new location will have Anokhelal Saxena’s birthday celebrations taking place in a resort. Rohitashv Gour, Shubhangi Atre, and Aasif Sheikh share a great bond offscreen as well.
