Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, Regé-Jean Page, Dhanush and more feature in first look of Russo Brothers' The Gray Man dropping on July 22 on Netflix

Netflix unveiled the first look images and release date of the highly anticipated film of this year — The Gray Man. Directed by Joe & Anthony Russo, starring star power like Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Indian superstar Dhanush and more, releasing on July 22, only on Netflix.

The Gray Man is CIA operative Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling), aka, Sierra Six. Plucked from a federal penitentiary and recruited by his handler, Donald Fitzroy (Billy Bob Thornton), Gentry was once a highly-skilled, Agency-sanctioned merchant of death. But now the tables have turned and Six is the target, hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans), a former cohort at the CIA, who will stop at nothing to take him out. Agent Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas) has his back. He’ll need it.

Ryan Gosling is The Gray Man and Chris Evans is his psychopathic adversary in the Netflix/AGBO-produced thriller directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, starring Ana de Armas, with Regé-Jean Page, Billy Bob Thornton, Jessica Henwick, Dhanush, Wagner Moura, and Alfre Woodard.

Based on the novel "The Gray Man" by Mark Greaney, the screenplay is by Joe Russo, Christopher Markus, and Stephen McFeely. The producers are Joe Roth, Jeffery Kirschenbaum, Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Mike Larocca, and Chris Castaldi. Executive producers are Patrick Newall, Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely, Jake Aust, Angela Russo-Otstot, Geoff Haley, Zack Roth, and Palak Patel.

Deepika Padukone to be jury member at the Cannes Film Festival 2022

Deepika Padukone will be part of the competition jury at the Cannes Film Festival 2022. French actor Vincent Lindon will be the president of the jury whereas Deepika will be joined by actor-director Rebecca Hall, Noomi Rapace, Italian actor-director Jasmine Trinca, directors Asghar Farhadi, Ladj Ly, Jeff Nichols, and Joachim Trier at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. The Palme d’Or winner will be announced on May 28. Deepika Padukone, who has been regular on the red carpets of Cannes, is expected to be making an appearance on all 10 days.

"It is a great honor and source of pride to be entrusted, in the midst of the tumult of all the events we are going through in the world, with the splendid, weighty task of chairing the Jury of the 75th International Cannes Film Festival. On the website, the bio for Deepika reads, "Indian Actress, producer, philanthropist, and entrepreneur Deepika Padukone, is a huge star in her country. actor, producer, philanthropist, and entrepreneur from India. With over 30 feature films to her credit, she made her English language film debut as the female lead in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, co-starring with Vin Diesel. She is also the principal of Ka Productions, the production company behind Chhapaak and ‘83, in which she also starred, as well as the upcoming film The Intern. Credits include Gehraiyaan and Padmaavat, as well as the award-winning and critically acclaimed film Piku. On the work front, Deepika Padukone will next star in Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham, Fighter with Hrithik Roshan, Nag Ashwin's next with Prabhas, and Amitabh Bachchan, The Intern remake with Amitabh Bachchan, Draupadi and a Hollywood project.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma to kick off Sujoy Ghosh's The Devotion of Suspect X in Darjeeling

Back in March 2022, Netflix announced that Kareena Kapoor Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Vijay Varma were coming together to star in Sujoy Ghosh's untitled film. It is a screen adaptation of one of Keigo Higashino’s most acclaimed works, "The Devotion of Suspect X". Now, the makers plan to kick off the first schedule in Darjeeling next week.

In the first week of May, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Vijay Varma will head to Darjeeling to film key scenes at the hill station. A daily reports that a part of the production unit will erect a set in Mumbai's Mehboob Studios. The schedule for the same will begin in May end.

The film is produced by 12th Street Entertainment, Northern Lights Films in association with Boundscript and Kross Pictures and marks Kareena Kapoor Khan’s streaming debut. Sujoy Ghosh will be producing the film along with Jay Shewakramani, Akshai Puri, and Thomas Kim.

Vivek Oberoi joins Sidharth Malhotra and Shilpa Shetty in Rohit Shetty’s action series Indian Police Force

After Sidharth Malhotra and Shilpa Shetty, Vivek Oberoi will now be making his entry into Rohit Shetty’s team in his mega digital series Indian Police Force. Rohit Shetty and Prime Video’s action series is currently filming.

Vivek shared the first look on social media with a caption that read, "Charged to join the best force, “Indian Police Force” and be a supercop in the Rohit Shetty Cop Universe! Thank you bro @itsrohitshetty for trusting me with this amazing role! The series will debut on Amazon Prime Video and it will have an eight-episode arc. The series will be jointly directed by Rohit Shetty and his Chief Assistant Director Sushwanth Prakash. The series is currently being shot in Mumbai.

Shah Rukh Khan meets ‘Desperately Seeking Shah Rukh’ author at Mannat, pens a handwritten note

If there's one thing Shah Rukh Khan will do is greet his fans with utmost love. The actor recently met an author Shrayana Bhattacharya, who has penned ‘Desperately Seeking Shah Rukh’. She got an opportunity to meet SRK at his residence Mannat on Sunday. She took to her Instagram to reveal the moment and also said that she received a heartfelt note.

She posted a photo of the note and wrote, “They say you should never meet your heroes. Whoever wrote/thought that had clearly never encountered @iamsrk After meeting him for an hour at Mannat last night, I can only say that he is superhuman, not of this universe, yet the most humane. A million thanks to @poojadadlani02 without whom this would not have happened. The book has finally reached its intended destination: his library at Mannat. Yes, we took photos. But woh kitaab ki one year anniversary par post karenge #finallyfoundshahrukh.”

SRK penned a handwritten to Shrayana which read, “Thank you for putting me to some good use. My love and thanks to you and all those wonderful women who like me so much. More power to you and your tribe.”

"Desperately Seeking Shah Rukh" was released in 2021. A description from Goodreads says, “Embracing Hindi film idol Shah Rukh Khan allows them a small respite from an oppressive culture, a fillip to their fantasies of friendlier masculinity in Indian men. ”

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan will return to the big screen on Republic Day with Pathaan and in 2023 December with Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki.

The film is an adaptation of the short story ‘Salaam Noni Appa’ from Twinkle Khanna’s best-selling book, “The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad”. Twinkle has emerged as one of the country’s foremost humor authors and columnists, with her biting wit and sardonic insights about modern-day life. The film is a winning comic romance that breaks stereotypes and is to be directed by one of India’s leading advertising mavericks, Sonal Dabral, who makes his debut with the film.

"The accurate interpretation of the lyrics is a father is singing this about his daughter" - Ranveer Singh on 'Firecracker' song in Jayeshbhai Jordaar

Ranveer Singh is starring in Yash Raj Films’ Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Yesterday, Ranveer launched the first song from Jayeshbhai Jordaar - 'Firecracker', to great fan-fare and frenzy at a college in Mumbai. Ranveer, who arrived in style at the event, danced his heart out with the college students who participated with great enthusiasm.

Ranveer received a standing ovation from the students at the end of the event for being the showman that he is. He truly brought the house down with his performance. The energy was palpable that the song is going to hit it out of the park and looks like Ranveer has broken the internet with his endearing item boy avatar in the song.

A thrilled Ranveer says 'Firecracker' is the most memorable song in his filmography! He explains, “There are some songs that instantly pop out to you when you hear them at the audio level, and 'Firecracker' is definitely one of those. Maneesh, when he made me hear it, he built my expectations - Oh my God, Vishal-Shekhar have smashed it, you've got to hear the song! So, I was already going in with expectations. Inspite of that, it exceeded all my high expectations. I was like Wow! This is a smash hit.”

Ranveer reveals he had the same reaction when he heard his chartbuster 'Nashe Si Chadh Gayi' from Befikre! He says, “I remember having the same reaction when Adi (Aditya Chopra) made me hear 'Nashe Si Chadh Gayi', when Ali made me hear 'Tune Maari Entriyaan'. It's in the first 20 to 30 seconds that you are just hooked on to the song. That's what happened with 'Firecracker' for me. It was an instant hit with me.”

He adds, “And it's proving to be a hit with people which all of us are very grateful for. The accurate interpretation of the lyrics is a father is singing this about his daughter and I think that it's a lovely expression. I am really happy about the song and happy that it's being appreciated.”

A hilarious satire on society - Jayeshbhai Jordaar, produced by Maneesh Sharma, also stars Arjun Reddy fame Shalini Pandey, who debuts on Bollywood’s big screen opposite Ranveer. The film has been directed by debutant Divyang Thakkar and is releasing worldwide on May 13, 2022.
