Priyanka Chopra has unveiled her new magazine cover and the actress is a sight to behold in this retro-esque old Hollywood glam shoot. The actress wished she were to launch the cover under different circumstances as she had shot for this one before coronavirus pandemic.
Sharing the May issue of Tatler magazine cover on Instagram, Priyanka wrote, “Before the COVID-19 crisis, I had the pleasure of shooting the May cover of @tatlermagazine. It’s a cover I wish we were launching under very different circumstances, but one I am very proud of none the less. The digital issue will be available for free. Love to you all.”
Speaking to the magazine, Priyanka opened up about starting a family with her husband Nick Jonas, whom she got married to in December 2018. She said, “Right now, this year’s really packed for me in terms of the work that I’m doing and the work that I’ve taken on. It’s too hard otherwise, and you’ve got to work on the relationship, to prioritise it.”
The actress credited her parents for the person she has become today. “All my mother’s sisters were academics and my dad was a free-thinking creative, a musician and an artist, as well as a surgeon,” she said.
Priyanka won the Miss World crown in 2000. The actress says beauty pageant still holds prestige as it gave her a huge career. “It’s something that I’m extremely proud of. It gave me a trampoline to my acting career. It gave me a sense of self, a sense of confidence to be able to stand in front of heads of state, to be able to speak in front of media from around the world, and actually know what I’m talking about,” the actress added.
On the work front, Priyanka Chopra has several projects in the pipeline including Amazon series Citadel, Netflix movies – We Can Be Heroes and The White Tiger, a wedding film with Mindy Kaling among others.
