Twinkle Khanna isn't convinced that Kareena Kapoor Khan and her sister Karisma Kapoor ''romancing' her superstar Akshay Kumar is a good thing. She said that it merely goes to show that women have shorter careers in the film industry than men, as the latter can continue to work with fresh generation of co-stars.
Twinkle Khanna and Kareena Kapoor Khan got together for a chat in which they talked about Kareena's career and shared amusing anecdotes about each other. She said, “It’s so strange, I’m romancing all of Lolo’s co-stars. It’s so weird, because in Akshay’s first shot, I was in my school uniform. It’s been such a long time, it actually shows how amazing he is…”
Twinkle interjected, “Umm, maybe not. It just shows that here, men can have these long careers, but women have come and gone.”
Kareena further said, “But now we are proving them wrong”, with Twinkle highlighting how she is still among the top female actors even after 20 years in the film industry.
She jokingly added, “He is already planning a two-hero film with Taimur, he’s already told me that.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Akshay Kumar have collaborated on number of films including 2019's Good Newwz and he has also worked on 13 movies with Karisma. The actor's most recent appearance was in a lengthy cameo in Atrangi Re, which premiered on Disney+ Hotstar in late 2021. He has a number of projects in the works. Bachchan Pandey, Raksha Bandhan, Ram Setu, Prithviraj, and others are among them.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan will next be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, the official Hindi version of Hollywood’s smash hit Forrest Gump, with Aamir Khan.
