Vivek Agnihotri directed The Kashmir Files is receiving praise from all over. The film that was released on March 11 has collected nearly Rs. 100 crore in a week. Several celebrities also took to their social media handle to praise the film. Recently, R Madhavan took to his Twitter handle to react to the exceptional box office performance of the film.

The film which opened to limited screens in India gained traction with positive word of mouth and eventually, the screens were increased across the country owing to the demand. While on Day 1 it was released in 650 screens across India, week 2 of the film has started with shows in over 4000 screens.
The film that narrates the story of the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits during the Kashmir Insurgency stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumaar, Pallavi Joshi, among others. Several artists from the film industry have also praised the film.
