Karva Chauth is celebrated by Hindu women to wish for their husbands’ long life. Karva Chauth is a widely celebrated occasion in India, especially in the north and holds a special significance in the lives of married Hindu women. For a happy married life and the longevity of their husbands, women observe a strict fast and do not break it until the rising of the moon in the late evening. While for the past two years, the celebrations in Bollywood have been low-key, this year, the stars were seen out and about enjoying the day with their better halves.
Like every year, celebrities gathered at Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor’s residence for the celebrations.
Bollywood celebs like Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Neelam Kothari, Padmini Kolhapure, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Natasha Dalal and others too were enjoying the festivities.
Sunita Kapoor took to her official Instagram account to share the annual photos from the celebrations. "I've always believed that festivals are about belief, faith and tradition. Karwa Chauth isn't just a day of fasting for your husband's long life, it's also a day for women to come together to celebrate each other. So wherever you are, and whatever your belief and faith might be, I hope you have a day filled with love, warmth and celebrations,” she wrote alongside the group photo. It included Shilpa, Raveena, Neelam, Maheep, Bhavana, Padmini, Akanksha Malhotra, Rima Jain and Varun Dhawan's wife Natasha among others.

Veteran actress Padmini Kolhapure, who also attended Sunita's festivities shared a video on her Instagram account where the women are performing the festivities. Sharing the post, Padmini wrote, "Great Pooja Karwa Chauth, best hostess Sunita Kapoor."

Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty will be next seen in Sukhee, and in her web debut in Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force alongside Siddharth Malhotra.
