Ever since its release, the promo of Shrenu Parikh starrer Maitree captured everyone’s attention. The glimpses of the show featured her as the best friend of Bhaweeka Chaudhary and showed a drastic change in their relationship with their bond going sour. However, while many fans were afraid that the show will feature yet another love triangle between Shrenu and Bhaweeka, especially considering that it featured one of them in a wedding attire and the other as a married woman, Shrenu clarified to Bollywood Hungama that it is not one. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Shrenu Parikh stated, “After the fire-wala promo released, people got a clarity on what the show is about because initially they imagined that it's going to be a typical triangle.” For the unversed Zaan Khan will be introduced as the love interest of Maitree aka Shrenu Parikh. Further talking about female bonds and friendships, the actress opened up on how everyone can resonate with the show, “Not just me there but there will be a lot of girls who will resonate with Maitree because we do have best friends and we do go to an extreme extent for them. Friendship is something that goes beyond the blood bonds and only a friend can understand what importance the other one makes in their life.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Shrenu Parikh (@shrenuparikhofficial) View this post on Instagram A post shared by Shrenu Parikh (@shrenuparikhofficial) On the other hand, Shrenu also revealed about her off screen camaraderie with her co-actors. Recalling how she met Namish before for a mock shoot, Shrenu stated, “I had actually done a mock-shoot with him before. He'd only come for like, an hour or so and I was shooting since morning. But you know, it just clicked with him. I mean, the scene was something else only without even putting in so much effort.” Shrenu also couldn’t stop gushing about her onscreen love Zaan Khan. “Zaan is this energy packed person who can bring any character to life. So, I think all of us are quite blessed that we got each other,” she added. Last but not the least, Shrenu had only words of praises for her onscreen best friend, Bhaweeka. “Bhaweeka and I are quite chilled otherwise. I'm sure she also has a lot of Maitrees in her life and I definitely have a lot of Nandinis in my life.” “I think we all are a bunch of youngsters who are quite chilled. We didn’t have to work on those special chilling sessions just to get the tone of friendship right,” she concluded. Maitree, featuring Shrenu Parikh, Namish Taneja, Bhaweeka Chaudhary, and Zaan Khan, in the lead is expected to premiere on February 7 at 7 pm on Zee TV.
